Hi guys! Easter is just around the corner and I wanted to share a pastel Easter smorgasbord of decorated cookie ideas with you along with some fun news, about a certain, ahem, decorating tool I just wouldn’t want to be without.
But first, are you eagerly waiting for spring like I am? I do love winter and magical, white, early mornings like this one I shared on Instagram, but I also do love the warm weather some of you around the world are experiencing. And if you are, please share pictures with me on Facebook… I like to live a little vacariously through you!
Our in-progress home renovation is keeping me busy (pinning – haha), and I’m not sure I’ll be able to make a new set of Easter cookies this year, so if you’ve been visiting me here for a while you may have seen these already… If that’s you, maybe skip to the bottom of the post for some oh-my-gosh-I-can’t-wait-to-share-with-you news.

And the exciting news I’d like to share with you?
In a few days, I’ll be hosting a giveaway sponsored by KopyKake for two KopyKake projectors!
All the details will be in the upcoming post, and for those of you who aren’t sure what a KopyKake is, here’s an explanation for you.
Happy Friday!
xo,
Marian

Hi @ Kelly: The link to the tutorial is under the bunny tutorial – the link says, “Lamb and Bunny Cookie How-To”.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
Easter would certainly be a sweet adventure with these! They all look amazing!
Hi Marian, just wanted to say that I am really enjoying your blog, utube and FB. I am very new to “trying” to decorate with that extra special touch. I am at home after a major trauma accident and still doing lots of physio. I am finding that the baking and decorating ….and LOTS of web searching, is actually keeping me quite busy 🙂 I just wanted to say that, your site, I keep coming back to. It is very warming, beautiful and just welcoming and comfortable. I just realized that you too are from Canada..YAY!! I have looked at a lot of sites from around the world…literally…and Yay…found yours right here in Canada 🙂 Anyways, happy renovating. Michele
All the cookies are too pretty! Love the tutorials! I am so excited for the giveaway, I hope I am one of the lucky ones
I don’t know why my comment got cut off. Here it goes again 😉
I love to see snow in pictures and not from my window! I am too used to my tropical weather and now at noon we have about 26 C (80F) already. I can’t complain it is a lovely day with clear blue skies! I will complain in a couple of months when we get 40-42 C (about 110 F) with 100% humidity, that is not lovely at all!
Thanks, @ Kevin @ Closet Cooking!
Hi @ Michele: I hope you are doing as well as you can be after your major trauma accident. xo So glad to hear that you’ve been keeping busy with baking and decorating! I find it a great stress reliever myself. Are you from Ontario? Thanks for visiting me here and hope to “see you around.” 🙂
@ Helga: Thanks! A few more days until the giveaway. 😀
I love the fluffy sheep and look forward to your giveaway
Hi again @ Helga: 🙂
Oh that weather sounds sooo lovely! Weensy teensy (okay a lot) envious over here.
These are so inspiring and adorable! 🙂
Thanks @ cass, good luck soon!
I’m a long-time fan and fell in love with those sheep last year but made myself crazy trying to tie the eensy weensy gingham bows (missed the fact that they were from a Martha Stewart collection, oops!) So glad you re-posted, maybe I can save myself the torture this year! Everything you do is beautiful and I know your home renovation will be the same. Happy Spring!
great post.. love all your easter cookies, love every thing you do. Your reno looks like a big job!
Happy Easter!
ML
Ooooooooooooooooooo…would LOVE to win the KopyKake…can’t wait!!
I love all of them!!!
Oh no, @ MaryK! I can’t imagine making tiny pretty bows well, my fingers are too big! Even with teeny tiny fingers I think it’d be a challenge. You poor thing last year! 😉 Hope this year is a lot more fun!
Thanks @ Maria Theresia and @ Gaby!
Soooooon! @ Tina Dahl: 🙂
I want to come hangout and have you teach me how to make cookies!!! So pretty.
And I want you to come over, @ Denise! Lionel will nudge your feet though. 🙂
Marian you are an inspiration! I’m a new to your site and I’m in love with your blog and your sweets. I think your taste is stellar and your designs are creative and stunning. These Easter cookies look amazing, I’m so excited to start incorporating more texture into my cookies with embellishments like sugar and candy pearls. So smart! Thank you for sharing your ideas and knowledge.
A true fan,
DRL
I am in love with the lambs and your site!! You are awesome for sharing all your tips, tricks & recipes. Thank You and Happy Easter all the way from Guam!!!
Very excited about the Kopykake give away. I would love to challenge my decorating skills with more intricate designs. I promise to upload some pics of some of my cookies soon to share.
On another matter being a So. Cal native I am a weather wimp. Life is uncomfortable under 70 degrees.
Hello, the bunny cookies are so sweet, I just got my “peep” cutters and am so excited. Been watching all the tutorials on the kopycake, what an awsome tool! As a newbie, getting overwhelmed with all the ideas, but cant wait to try them all, your site is my favorite, thanks for all the inspiration!
My friend, Debbie Melvin Ferri, shared your post on FB. Hope she wins the projector. Thanks Sweetopia!
I can’t decide which I adore more – the hanging tree of cookies, the wee chicks or the furry sheeps! Presh!
I would like to do these lamb cookies for a special needs class of little kids. Where do I buy the same lamb cookie cutter you used? Thank you so much
Hi @ Sharon Roman: If you click under the Bunny cookies where it says Lamb and Bunny Cookie How to, there’s a link to where I bought the lamb cutter there. xo
Hi @ Andrea: Lucky you! Maybe I’ll move down there when I retire (should I be that blessed!)
@ suzanne riley, @ Marie Trevino, @ Desiree,@ Dayva-Jo, @ Megan Pence {Country Cleaver}: Thanks! xo
First timer here — a huge shocker it took me that long 😀
Love your creativity and decorating skills. Especially those bunny cookies. So cute!!
Hi Marian
I just love your site, and have learnt so much. A question though. My white icing (using your recipe) has yellowed. I used your cookie recipe too, just wondering if you have ever had this problem and if so do you counteract it by using white colouring? I haven’t had this problem with ‘traditional’ royal icing using egg whites and lemon juice.
Thank you for your inspiration and advice. Also, have you ever used or heard about using a food dehydrator to dry icing on cookies? I live in Queensland Australia and it can be very humid, and running the AC can make cookie making an expensive hobby!
Thanks! @ Kiran @ KiranTarun.com
Hi @ Sarah Smith: Yes, I always tint my white icing with white gel coloring.
I’ve heard of using a food dehydrator but haven’t tried it yet. If you end up getting one, I’d love to hear from you what you thought!
Happy decorating!
xo
Marian, your cookie decorating skills are impeccable!! Amazing… can’t wait to delve into more of your recipes via the archives! Thanks for sharing your talents with the world 🙂
