Holiday season is fast approaching and although I get truly excited about all the Christmas cookies I’d like to decorate, it’s challenging to fit all the things I’d like to get done in.
Figuring out a way to fit my little cookie decorating obsession hobby in amongst teaching high school culinary arts classes Monday to Friday, making time for family and friends, trying to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle by cooking, eating well and exercising, keeping the house, laundry etc., is often a challenge. Fitting it all in amongst other life commitments means I’ve needed to figure out a way to make it work.
In order to make the process doable, I’ve come up with a few cookie decorating schedules and free printables in case you’d like to use them too.
The first time I shared them on Sweetopia was in 2011, so if you’ve been with me that long, thank you! If you’re new here and seeing them for the first time, thanks for being here as well and I hope you find them helpful.
A quick note about these cookies before I share more information about the printables. A video is in the works and I should be ready to share it with you soon. The cookie decorating schedule helps, now I need to figure out how to get blog posts done faster too! If you’re looking for the cookie cutters, they are from Wella Cookie Cutter Co.
Below is my plan for making cookies and decorating them. I’ve shared a longer 6 day schedule and a shorter 3 day schedule.

I prefer making my cookies according to the schedule above, however sometimes I do need to make them in a shorter period of time.

I hope that helps!
In case you’re looking for my recipes, I’ll share a few quick decorating links below. A video of these cookies being decorated coming soon.

I have been here since 2011 and the baking schedules were as helpful then as they are now. I’m a huge believer in getting things done ahead of time so I appreciate the two different ones, depending on how much time I have. The cookies here are of course, stunning Marian! Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season, with much love!!
Tina, I can’t thank you enough for being here with me for so long!! Many virtual hugs to you from me! xo
Any chance that a cookie class of this set might be offered?? They are adorable! Are you able to share the cookie cutter source? Love all of your cookie bundles… own some too!
Thank you for sharing & inspiring!
Sincerely, Lori
Hi Lori,
Yes, they are from Wella Cookie Cutter Co, I will go and insert her shop link into the post now and will link the cutters individually in the next tutorial post.
I’m not doing classes right now but will share the video of these soon. Thanks for your sweet and always supportive comments Lori!

Hi Marian
I have followed for a few years now and you inspire me! I love the smoothness of your cookies, along with all the fun designs. Would love to do a class with you one day!

Hi Wendy,
Thank you so much for following me and for your kind comments! xo
How thick do you roll out your cookies? Mine look a lot thicker than yours.
Hi Vanessa,
I wrote a whole post on that here; https://sweetopia.net/2013/11/how-thick-or-thin-do-you-roll-your-cookie-dough-how-do-you-make-the-dough-even/
Happy baking!
