Fall and Winter baking, my favorite time of year. With the srrival of cooler weather I get to make my mothers Hungarian cookies. The dough has too much butter and creamcheese to hold up in the summer. We have generations of memories tied up in those cookies and every time I make them I feel such a strong sense of my heritage and the amazing lineage of women that came before me. If I win I would share with my oldest friend who has cooked her way through life with me. 🙂
