My original intention with these cupcakes had nothing to do with the Twilight saga…
… and everything to do with the pretty Vestlihouse cupcake liners and chess mold
I’m thinking they would work for a Twilight themed party though.
One of my students, the talented Christina, made all the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes & icing, as well as all the chocolate chess pieces. Christina, you did an amazing job!

This vinyl chess board, the perfect size for standard cupcake liners, is from MegaChess.com and the bookend rook and knight is from my local Chapters store.
All the cupcake liners are from Vestlihouse. I bought lots of these to make my own cupcakes with, and more to give away to you!

Those chess molds are fantastic and yes, a great idea for a Twilight themed party. Cupcakes look awesome and the liners are so pretty.

my favorite cupcake is white cake because i can get creative with frosting flavors! 🙂
hmmm. the kind of cupcakes that i like best would be… little cupcakes topped with white and pink frostings with preety tiny colourful macarons and little blue and yellow butterflies scattered all over the frostings, around the macarons 🙂

I really like a moist white cupcake with chocolate butter cream icing. Or the same cupcake, filled with red raspberry and topped in vanilla butter cream. Mmmmmm…Now I want cupcakes.

Red Velvet – the classiest of cupcakes
My favourite cupcakes? Black-bottomed ones, with cream cheese icing, because I looooove all the different flavours and textures in them!
Chocolate with chocolate icing!
Hazelnut cupcakes (recipe from “Whimsical Bakehouse”) filled with dark chocolate ganache; iced with Nutella flavored real Italian buttercream. Made these for a friend’s wedding…they were the bomb.

OOH Lemon meringue with nice little toasty brown edges on the meringue !!!
The first cupcake flavor that popped into my head was pumpkin with cream cheese icing…mmmmmm! I LOVE pumpkin, so glad its’ fall so I can indulge!
It’s hard to pick a favorite….Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting is one of them.
At this time of year, I like apple-cinnamon spice cupcakes best, topped with just a tad of whipped cream, yum!
