Yee haw! It’s time to announce the Barnyard Giveaway Winner!

One more quick little side story – just so you can know what a ninny I am sometimes!

Soo, last week I rushed home to make sure I was home in time to close the draw.  Yup, for some reason I had it in my head that the giveaway was ending last Friday.  =)   So I drew the winner at www.random.org and published the post for all to see.  Yuppers. I then quickly scanned the original giveaway post to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything, and saw the date.  May 1st! Ha!  Oops!

Quickly erased the post but had already emailed the winner!  Of course she’s getting a copy of Cookie Craft too – lucky her that even the author of the post didn’t know the right drawing date!

Oh my gosh; I had to rush home today to make sure I was home in time to close the draw. However one  ‘closes the draw’ on a blog.  I’m sure you were all at your computers with baited breath!   lol

I have to say, it was so much fun to see the favourite barnyard animal comments! Everyone had their own unique spin on which one and why. I also have to say that I didn’t mean for anyone to choose a favourite cookie of mine.. hee hee… I really just meant a barnyard animal in general. Upon reading my instructions over; they really were a bit ambiguous though, I’ll be more specific next time!

I entered all the comments from the post into the draw at www.random.org, at 7:05 Eastern Standard Time (23:05 UTC) and the winner was comment #73; Emily!! Congrats to you! I’ll be contacting you to send you Valerie Peterson’s book, Cookie Craft.

If you’ve never heard of it, www.random.org is basically a site where you can register your contest so that a completely fair, impartial, neutral, (and did I say impartial? =) third party, draws the winner and posts the results for all to see. All I did was enter the number of comments in, and the number drawn was the comment that won. Yay Emily!
