My favorite cake will have to be red velvet with cream cheese icing. It is very common but I just love the overall taste. Red Velvet for me is a very light version of chocolate cake and the cream cheese frosting that I make isn’t overly sweet.
No question: chocolate, and the richer the better!
My absolute favourite cake flavour is dark chocolate/raspberry….mmmmmmmmm…..getting a craving already.
Usually my favorite is anything chocolate but I tried a new one this week that is very good. It’s a chai spice cake. Paired with a caramel BC is very yummy. Thanks for the contest Marian.

Freckled Mocha cake (from Whimsical Bakehouse book) paired with Baileys Swiss Meringue Buttercream…. YUMMY!!!
My favourite is lemon with lemon butter cream! Yup, nice and light, perfect for summer showers!
My favorite cake flavor is Tuxedo cake. One layer of vanilla bean butter cake sandwiched between two layers of dark chocolate mousse cake with white chocolate ganache and dark chocolate ganache.
My new favorite flavor cake is Margarita! It has replaced almond for the summer.
My fav cake of all times is a Strawberry Decadence – vanilla sponge cake filled with white chocolate mousse and loads of fresh strawberries. Can’t ever go wrong with a classic vanilla

So far…my favorite is Mocha…made with flecks of grated chocolate..with a bittersweet dark chocolate ganache filling, and ganache frosting covered with hazelnut SMBC

My fave flavors of any dessert tend to be tropical, so for cake I would have to say a coconut cake with either passion fruit or guava filling. Of course, either choice MUST be iced with cream cheese frosting!
i like regular flavours. cant beat chocolate cake and coffee bc/ icing i dont think! or actually, chocolate cola cake. mmm!

Marian, we just had this discussion today at work: which cake flavor is our favorite!!
it was a close race, but the two that topped the list were raspberry cake and banana cake!
I think if I had to chose just the cake flavor, not frosting or filling, I have to go with the banana cake, it’s one of those that you can eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight snack!

I’ll eat any flavor cake, but I do have a thing for pumpkin, or ginger. I kind of love the cinnamon, clove and allspice flavors.
i would say my favourite cake is a flavour my mum created to get my brother and I to eat carrots. The cake is a chocolate chip carrot cake with a mousse cream cheese filling. I am now married and my husband and his family agree it is the best cake! :/
