There’s a reason why there are so many photos in this post… Please forgive me, I just couldn’t stop taking pictures… There was something so sweet and fun about these little turtle guys (in my, ahem, obviously not-so-humble-turtle-cookie-opinion). They were really fun and easy to make, and I would love to see the versions you come up with if you’d like to try them.
As usual, info. on how to decorate, as well as tool links, are below, and I’ve created a little video so you can see these come alive in real time (well sometimes fast-forwarded for repetitive parts etc.).

These are matcha sugar cookies; you can find the recipe here. There are other cut-out cookie recipes here.

Royal Icing
You can find my favorite royal icing recipe here. The consistency of icing is key for easy decorating. Click here to see a YouTube video on finding the right icing thickness.

Hi Margo,
Just checking in, were you the one that asked me a question on Instagram?

hi Marian,
These are adorable! Did you use the 3 and 1/8″ cookie cutter or the larger 4 3/4″ size? thanks!
