Just wanted to say hi and let you know that, among other things, this is what’s been keeping me busy lately:
Or who, I should say.
Sorry about the blurry pics. I didn’t want to take too many photos, even if they didn’t turn out. (Don’t want to scare him).
This is Lionel, a Lionhead Lops, 3-month old rabbit we just adopted.
If I haven’t emailed you back yet – I haven’t forgotten about you and am happy to hear from you! I’ll answer soon.
Here’s a sneak peek at the next GIVEAWAY and interview, also coming soon!
Until then,
Happy weekend!
xo,
Marian

OMGosh, Lionel is to precious….congratulations on the newest member of your family. I received the Cookie Swap book for Christmas, and I love, love, love it!!!! It’s must have if you love decorating cookies.
Renee says
Lionel is so cute!!! We used to have a bunny when our kids were little. So much fun but lot’s of cage cleaning. Will Lionel be allowed to roam free in the house? I’ve heard you can litter box train them but we never tried it. Congrats on the new baby!
Great book giveaway, BTW!
Kimberly Myers-Schuh says
Oh my goodness….he is adorable. I can’t wait to meet him. Get a little carrier for him and you can take him everywhere with you.
Rachel says
So cute! Bunnies are so much fun. I adopted a litter box trained house rabbit over the summer, and I just love him.
Tracy says
Oh my GOODNESS!! Does he smell like a lil’ cotton ball or what?! We live out in the country and I feed the rabbits around our house with apples. I “call” them and they come running from all over. Probably not suppose to but it isn’t everyday and I just love the fact that they know who I am and love my treats Ü
I can wait to see more posts on Lionel!

Dear marian,
congrats on your new pet, enjoy
i just love the way you make your cookies.
I am trying to make icingcookies, and i really want to know if i am doing it right.
So if you want to check out my blog( i know you cant read it because its in dutch, but please look at the pics) and give some comment, it would be great.
By the way, cant get any cream of tartar here and so i only put in poudersugar and eggwhite pouder, but when i leave it rest for a day, i need to mixit again, the water is on top of it than( sorry for the bad explaination, but my english is not so good)
is that because there insnt any cream of tartar or do you always have to stir the next day??
If you want to respond here is my blog: http://www.koekjesvaneigendeeg.blogspot.com
thank you and keep making those lovely cookies, greetings Rianne
Marian says
Thanks Rianne!
I left a comment on your blog; your cookies look super! You’re doing a great job!
It is perfectly normal for the water and icing sugar to ‘separate’. If I’m using my icing again the next day I have to mix it well again before I fill my piping bags.
That’s also why I don’t leave the icing in the piping bags.
Hope that helps!

LOOK at that bunny!!! ♥ How sweet!
I love Cookie Swap, too. I didn’t enter b/c I already own it. 🙂
Rianne says
Thanks for the reaction om my blog,
i never leave the icing in the pipingbags again.
I also made icing with to much eggwhite pouder and all the small area’s had airbubbles in it, so mayby if you make icing with less pouder ( only fot the small parts) you won’t ger airbubbles???
I’m just starting so maybe i say something strainge now, haha
greetings from holland, Rianne

I LOVE my mom’s cut-out recipe, more so for the almond frosting than the cookie itself. I can always be found licking the bowl once all the cookies are frosted 😉
Art and Appetite says
Marian, awwwwwww sooooo adorable. Can I have this cutie?
Laura C says
Lionel is the cutest bunny ever! Congrats.
Now I’ll have to convince my husband that we should add a bunny to our menagerie!!
Congrats and best of luck with the new bunny!!
