Wishlist and Favorite Things GIVEAWAY!!
I thought I’d have a little giveaway to add some sunshine to the February blahs! The giveaway includes two of my wishlist/favorite things here… I’m sure you’ll guess by the end of the post which ones they are.
A clue; sorry, it’s not a Oprah-esque giveaway!
*
This post isn’t really sugar related, but I do have other things I love besides my sweet hobby; a few of which I’ll share with you:
*
1. Anne Taintor Products
Her name is Anne Taintor and she runs a humorous business selling greeting cards, notepads, magnets, purses etc., which, to quote the words on her site, “…give voice to modern women’s secretly subversive thoughts.”
I just knew that when I found this charming Anne Taintor I Don’t Recall Asking notepad, it would be a perfect gift for my female colleagues studying Culinary Arts in Kingston this past summer. We definitely did enjoy some interesting, insolent humour together. (That’s Liz and Delia below):
They did get a kick out of their parting gift from me. (Notepad above). You can find Anne Taintor’s hilarious items on her site here or if you’re an Amazon fan, at my affiliate link here.
*
2. Kindle
This one’s on the wish list. Ever since I used a Kindle (a wireless reading device), at a friend’s place over the Christmas holidays, I’ve been thinking of getting one. If you have one I’d love to hear what you think of it in the comment section.
*
3. iPhone

The iPhone… Also don’t have one of these yet, but I’ve certainly looked at them longingly a few times. I’ve pledged not to get one until my old phone dies, but I’m really looking forward to that day.
You should see my phone. My students think it’s so old and retro that it’s ’sick’. Here’s a pic:
Pretty battered huh?
I’m glad this pic is in my favorite things after all. This phone has lasted me a long time, and (my DH will laugh at this), it has great reception. Let me tell you, there’s been many a time that all the BlackBerries in the room didn’t get a signal and I did. It is analog-digital after all.
Ahem… on to another favorite thing. This one is a gadget as well – seems like I like a lot of them.
This one has helped me take better pictures this year.
*
4. Canon Rebel Xsi Camera
The Canon Digital Rebel XSi is what I use. I’m still learning lots on how to use it, but even on the automatic settings it does a great job!
I really do dislike getting my picture taken - it rarely works out. So, only because I wanted to post a pic of the camera and needed a mirror to take a its snapshot, I’ve put a photo of me in here with it. (Okay, and because I actually paid some attention to my hair this day I was out with my friend. I was waiting in change room for her to try on some clothes and I had recently acquired the camera).
Anyways, on to the next item.
*
5. MACRO LENS
With this Canon Macro Lens you can easily get great close-up shots; I used it to take this next photo:
*
6. Cupcake Charm
Of course something sweet related had to sneak in here. I gave this cupcake charm to my friend Kim earlier this year… she’s a sweet-nut as well. I don’t have one yet but might just head over to Amazon to order one. They’re $17.99 (Guess you know now Kim. Actuuuually, really they were SO expensive when I went to buy one. They’re on sale now).
Ahem.
The next fave is, alright, another sweet related item.
*
7. KopyKake Projector
Not a very pretty looking thing, is it?
It’s big, it’s awkward-looking, (although it doesn’t look quite as bad with the table clamp option), but I know I couldn’t have created many of the cookies I did this year without this Kopykake Projector . If you’re new to visiting Sweetopia, you can find some examples of cookies I made using the projector by clicking these links:
*
8. My Winter Coat
What is there to say? I love it! I have to wear it every day in the climate I live in and never get tired of it. (I don’t think I look like her in it though!)
*
9. EMU Australia Winter Boot
These boots keep me so snuggly warm! Enough said!
*
10. Martha Stewart’s Wedding Cakes Book
I’d like to practice more of my cake skills in 2010 and am going to use this inspiring cake book by Martha Stewart and Wendy Kromer. Here’s a small sampling of what you’ll find inside:
Excuse the crooked images; I took actual pictures of my book.
Wendy Kromer, the creator behind many of Martha’s cakes, is coming to the Bonnie Gordon School in April. I’m so excited to be signed up for one of her classes and will keep you posted on that!
*
Now that I’ve shared my current 10 favorite items, it’s time to have a giveaway for TWO of them!
Wish I could be like Oprah, but even though they aren’t a KopyKake Projector or a Kindle, they are FREE! (If you win!)
*

Hello,
Yay, another give-away! Thank you so much.. and now that the Ipad has come out, I think thats something to add to my wishlist
I recently started getting into the baking thing and i LOVE reading your blog. This list is fun! I’d love to learn how to make fancier cakes like in the Martha book!!
Love this giveaway… almost as much as I love your site
I have dreamed of a Kopycake for soo long, I bet it is so neat!
I love your site, its great I found it through bakerella’s blog. I also love your wish list especially the camera.
I like your favorites list! I want a Kindle too… someday. One of my things is my Kitchen Aid mixer. I bought it when I was just a teen getting into baking and was so excited.
Some of my favorite things are making beautiful and tasty desserts, flowers and jewelry.
I just stumbled on your blog yesterday…love what I have seen so far!
everytime i see your cookies, i am blown away! you do such an amazing job! i am jealous.
I LOVE reading your blog. Your cookies are beautiful. Normally when I feel like baking, I make cupcakes, but you have definitely inspired me to start making cookies and try my hand at using royal icing. I’ve printed out your tutorial and will be testing them out this weekend!
I love anything has to do with kitchen stuff…and that k-projector would be cool! I would like the i-phone or i-pad for the kitchen too…my list could go on and on.
I’m with Jenn – LOVE my kitchen aid mixer! I dream to own a kopykake projector, though! I aspire to try some of the amazing cookies you make! Thanks for sharing your list!

I just found your blog a week ago and love it! I am very into crafty things and am trying to improve my cake decorating skills after a long hiatus. And by the way, you are absolutely gorgeous! I had a very different picture in my head… :O) I have the same canon rebel and love it. My sister-in-law also has it and has been buying many accessories. Check out her blog for details and examples of this camera’s potential: marisafaatoafe.blogspot.com
Hi i just want to say that everything you do is simply fantastic and i love your site. I´ll return many times.
Best regards Pehrnilla
I just love your blog! You are so very talented! My friend actually has a KopyKake projector that she said I may borrow! I can’t wait! Thanks for the giveaway! I’ve got my fingers crossed!!!
My favorite things are definitely my iPhone- it has a Kindle app, don’t know if you know that. I’ve easily read books on the iPhone. I guess there are some advantages to having the iPhone as a reader- you should look it up! But having a Kindle would be sweet!
One of my other favorite things is Martha Stewart’s Cupcakes book. I have the Cookies book too but haven’t made too much from it. You can’t go wrong with Martha!
Hi! I’m fairly new to your blog and I love it! I’m excited to try the flood cookies. Anyway, I’m up for a giveaway! Thanks!
Oh! I need that book. And the charm is so cute too!
I’ve wanted a kindle for some time now, but i don’t know if i should really get one. How do you like it? Compared to a paper/hardback? For me personally, there’s just something about buying books and reading it over and over again til the pages get a little crinkly.
The pink cupcake is the best one
Thank you for being awesome
One of the things on my wish list is a sommerset fondant machine roller. Just thinking about it makes me drool.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love reading your blog! I check almost every day to see if you have upated it
I would say an airbrush machine is at the top of my wishlist.
You’re younger and hotter than I imagined.
Ooh! I love your favorite things too. I’m a Nikon girl, but I would love to get a macro lens this year. That cupcake charm is too cute!
Right now, I have to say one of my favorite things is my down comforter. But maybe that’s just because I’m sitting under it avoiding the cold Minnesota weather outside!
I, like many others, would love to get a Kindle someday. It’s definitely on my wishlist.
Thanks for the giveaway! Love your blog.
Top of my wishlist is a vintage aluminum Christmas tree. They’re so expensive though…
I just purchased that camera myself, and it is definitely near the top of my favorite things. And I think I need one of those kopykake machines…though I have no idea where I’d store it.
I love your blog!
My current favorite thing is my stand mixer, I’ve had so much fun making cakes and cookies in the last year, I don’t know how I lived without it!
Thanks for posting! I love to check in on your blog every day! My favorite things are definitely cupcakes!
I love making cakes and cupcakes. My favorite thing is to bake with my daughters. One daughter said she would even like to be a chef. But then she also wants to be a CSI person so maybe she can be a CSI baker. Hmmm. My second favorite thing is decorating birthday cakes for my daughters. Every year, they pick their theme and I come up with some kind of design. That’s always fun.
Love the list – but those cupcake charms are so cute. Want one =)
Cupcake charms… Where to find such a delight-
And that Martha book looks SWEET
I just stumbled across your site today & I’m loving it! Thanks for hosting this giveaway<3

Oh my goodness, I loved everything on your list…I could just use your list as mine!! LOL The Martha Stewart book is so great, I have to go through it every time I’m at the bookstore and that charm is so cute…..just pick me. PLEASE!! hahahaha
Thank you for your site, I love all your work and am excited everytime I go to my email and see something from you there. You are so very talented!
Marian-

I am a new follower. I love to bake and am learning new techniques. I need to take some classes too. My wishlist includes my husband finishing Pharmacy school so that we can move. That would get me a much larger kitchen… I can’t wait.
One of my favorite things is my stand mixer…some great friends of mine bought it for me as a bithday gift in college and though they had ulterior motives (they knew I would bake more for them) I really enjoy it and still use it today. I’ve been inspired by your cookies but have no artistic ability…I wish I had one of those Kopycake thingamagiggies. That would be my new favorite thing! You’re amazing…please keep the posts coming!
I love your winter coat. Where did you get it? I would love a IPhone also.

)
Omg. I love everything on you list.
I’m convinced I NEED an iphone. If only they would use Verizon so I could use my discount. I’m sure I also need a Martha Stewart book and a cupcake charm.
Your cookies are gorgeous!! I have invested in a ton of disco dust because of you. Now I think I need one of those kopykake machines!
Hello Marian, I love all your favorite things! I also love all your cookie art!
What a great way idea! Somwe of my favourite things…definitely my kitchen aid stand mixer that my fiance bought for me…without it…all of my sweet treats wouldn’t turn out as well as they do! Love you list too!

I just found your blog from a Twitter post and love it! I bake to keep myself entertained and to challenge myself, so the cake book would definitely be something that I would love to get to see the techniques. Not to mention, I would love a pendant of one of my favorite things — cupcakes!
LOVE the cupcake charm. I covet several of the same things that are on your list. I need to win the lottery!
What a great list! I actually had the Martha Stewart Wedding Cakes book in my hand at Williams Sonoma a couple of weeks ago, but had to remind myself that it was not what I went there for (darn New Year’s resolution to be mindful of all purchases!). Thanks for the chance to win!
Oh and yes, you need an iPhone. I put off getting one for quite some time, and now I have no idea how I functioned without one!
A little embarrassing perhaps, but Martha Stewart is my favourite “thing”
My husband finds it amusing that I smile, move forward in my chair & nod in agreement when I’m watching Martha on TV. Lol, that just sounds sooo tragic doesn’t it!!

I came across your blog tonight, and you make me want to get right into the kitchen and start whipping up something. However, all my family is in bed right now so I don’t think they would appreciate my sudden motivation! I love photography and baking. I love my beautiful kids and my wonderful husband. I now love your blog!
I have the same camera and macro lens and love them both!!
I found a new “wishlist” item at a bow making class this week. It’s a 12 wheel pastry cutter with both wavy and straight cutters. I can’t paste a picture here, so here’s the link to see one: http://www.pastrychef.com/EXPANDABLE-CUTTER-12-WHEEL_p_1131.html
We used them in class to cut strips to make our bows. It was almost a religious experience! Every strip was perfectly straight and even!
I’d love a Kindle, but I want to pay less for it. The iPhone will change your world – go for it! You’ll love it.
Thanks for inspiring me. I love your website!

Marian, I love everything about “Sweetopia”…. and your wish list is great. Your coat is daring. I live in Florida so I don’t have a need for one, but if I did, that’s one I would go for. Thank you for sharing so much of your experiences!!!!
Love your site!
Love, love, love the cupcake charms! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I would love a macro lens for my nikon! But I’ll settle for the magazine or cupcake charm-they’re both lovely. Your cookies are always so awesome and I enjoy looking at them so much. I hope to use some of your tips for my Valentine cookies I want to bake with my grandkids. Thanks so much for the chance to win and for all the wonderful inspiration!!!
Can’t tell you how excited I get everytime my Google reader tells me that there is a new post on Sweetopia. You make the loveliest things I have ever seen. Your cookies are amazing. I’m also starting to refine my baking skills though I try to leave everything abstract since I’m a mess when it comes to doing a straight line, but I’m getting there. I would love half the things on your list if not everything, but I can do with the book. It would be a great addition to my growing collection of cook and cake books.
Cheers!!!
The martha book is on my want list as well. I borrowed it from the library and didn’t want to give it back, but I did.
Thanks for showing me the right page! I love this site!! So many cute things can’t wait to try something : )
I received a kindle for Christmas. They are great. If you finish a book, all you do is activate the wireless connection, and get a new one. No running out to the store. I love mine. I also love your website. So many great tips. Thanks

Kate Spade, Uggs, The Happiness Project book, my pug, and Starbucks lattes!

Great giveaway and thank you for giving us an opportunity to win. I love my iPod…I can carry it with me and always have something to keep me entertained…songs, movies, books. Love it
One of my favorite thing is the internet – being able to go to sites like this for wonderful ideas and instruction on anything. All you need to do is get an idea in your head and “google” it and voila, there is help.
Just Luvin’ Sweetopia… Very New to me Blog &&& totally addicted already… Will be back for many a visit I can see VBG !
I love all you cookies. On my wish klist is that projector how cool is that. It reminds me of grammer school when we had to watch the presentations on anything from sex to micro organism.
Hey- I’m a huge fan of your work. I started dying laughing at the Ann Taintor products. I have 5 kids under 7 and my sister sent me one of her cards a few years ago-the one where she’s standing so sweetly by the fridge and is saying, “Make your own damn dinner.” Still makes me laugh!
And we got my mom the Kindle for Christmas-she just LOVES it.
And top of my wish-list-the KopyKat projector. I stink at free-hand work, but still do it. Ahhh…it’d be so fun. Anyway, thanks for all the posts- love keeping up!
There are 3 things that I absolutely would go crazy without. The first is my Burt’s Bees Lip Balm. My Kindle (I love being able to download something in the middle of the night and have it instantly). And lastly my iTouch….keeping me constantly entertained.
I would love the KopyKat projector – What a fun tool!
I’m dreaming of a new mobile and a new camera too! Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming…. Wants it to become real, now! *smile*

I have to say, that from your wishlist the KopyKake is my favorite, though the Iphone is a close second. On my own wishlist a cupcake carrier is at the top, I’ll have to buy one some day.

Wow this was a great idea….a giveaway in February. It certainly seems to have caught the interest of everyone, how fun. I am so glad that you decided to do this post….I think my favourite thing is the iPhone too! I am very familiar with them as my two boys have one each, however, of course I don’t. Mmmmm time to get one!
I can’ think of a list of favorite things right now. I do think the cake book would be awesome.
I have been drooling over the kopycake projector since I first saw it on your site!
My husband has a Kindle, and he loves it. However, I also love it, and I’ve practically stolen it from him. I love that I can shop for a book right on it, it gets sent directly to it, and I’m reading within a couple of minute. Plus, it’s screen is so eye-friendly.
I would love to add Martha’s book to my cake book collection. It’s so gorgeous. Thank you!
Yay a I love Martha Stewart!

Casey
My favourite things include anything sweet, of course. And scented candles. A really good vanilla or cinnamon spice candle can never be beat. Love your blog!
I love looking at pictures of cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. I google and oogle them. Being a baking noob I also love finding recipes to try!
Thanks for the give-away. The camera would be tops on my wish list too.
Ooh what a lovely wishlist.. it looks pretty similar to mine! And that cupcake charm is just adorable!
Mmm…that book is on my wishlist!! I, too, wish to improve my cake decorating skills this year!
Great info, Marian! I do like your favourite things. I guess my newest, favourite thing is my brand new Disney Marathon ribbon. It is beautiful! Not only do I enjoy looking at the giant Mickey Mouse medallion because it is so cute, it is a wonderful reminder of a great family trip where 10 of my family, which included three grandchildren met me at the finish line, cheering me on dressed in red t-shirts embroidered with a Canada Flag and TEAM BETH on each! Sorry, no picture, but great memories!
Wow, how I wish I could decorate cakes Lile that! WOW!!!
I think I’m going to have to put the Kopykake projector on my wishlist too. Especially after seeing the cookies you made with it!
Just recently started reading your blog… thanks so much for the cookie tips. I LOVE doing cupcakes, though, and fell in love with the cupcake charm… I hope I’m lucky enough to win it, but if not, I’ve added it to MY Amazon wish list.
Ooohhh….I love the Martha Stewart book! I am getting married in November and love to decorate cakes, so it would entertain me for months!
While I don’t personally have the Kindle, my friend does and she raves constantly about the thing. She’s got me wanting one. lol I love the charm, it’s adorable!
Sweetopia has been one of my five favorite blogs for a year now… and it was the first one I’d discovered! You inspire my baking all the time – I am self-taught, but by your generously sharing the various tips and tricks, I’ve come a long way, baby! …. that being said, I LOVE Anne Taintor products, and so does my sister! We buy each other her magnets all the time… my favorite has the mom with the wooden spoon and the mixing bowl, saying, “You’ll eat it, and you’ll LIKE it!”… I love the 50’s Stepford moms with the scathing wit sayings. Lastly, after several more weeks of playing and getting my royal icing cookies down pat, I may – skeptically, MAY be ready to own my own Kopykake. And dear Marian, my neighbor to the north, I would never have been able to aspire to all this baking greatness without your help. Many, many thanks!
I just discovered your blog a few days ago! Your cookies are gorgeous!
thanx for the great wishlist. my favorite item is my kitchen aid. cant live without it!!!
Hi Marian,
I still owe you some pictures from our P. Porchen class… will try to send them in the next few days. Am taking B. Gordon’s Confectionary Arts Program… started this week… I’ll keep you posted.
Judy

@ linda:
First off I have to say THANK YOU!! You have a wonderful site and the information is step-by-step…LOVE IT!! I am in the early stages of learning sugar art and while you make it look so easy, your instructions give me the self-confidence I need to do it!

Looking forward to 2010 and all the great ideas to try!
sweetopia is trippin’!
i think those decorated cookies you do are mad cute and i could only wish i can do ‘em as nicely as you!
the cupcake charm is precious(:
I love my Kindle! I’ve had it almost a year now and love it more each day. So easy to use, I no longer have piles of read books laying around that I don’t know what to do with, it’s easy to take when travelling, I can get a new “book” in mere seconds!
Love my iphone, too, though I’m still learning how to use all the options.
My favourite thing has to be your website – your work is bloody fantastic – makes me so very jealous ; )
Hello
I love your blog and all your creations! I found you one day in Flickr and I see we have a common heroe! Peggy Porschen
My wish is to someday make a pretty cake like her
I wouldn’t even know where to start with my wishlist, I spend too much time on the internet looking at adorable things I want! One thing I am especially in love with at the moment though are the dresses from Baby the Stars Shine Bright, I am saving for one but am a looong way off.
I have seen you mention the KopyKake before and was a little sad after searching for it and seeing the price
Also you are doing the draw for the prize on my birthday so will be checking to see the result!
I really enjoy your website, thanks so much for your time and tip sharing!! Crossing my fingers…..
I have SO enjoyed reading your blog for a while now. You inspire me with your creations. Would love to have the Martha wedding book – I’ve made all my daughter’s birthday cakes (she’s 13), and would like to branch out a little. Maybe this would help! Love love love you blog – keep up the good work!
Love your website! Pick me!

On my wish list is a nice camera like yours!
Thanks for hosting this giveaway!!
Love your blog. I don’t really have anything on my wishlist currently.
As far as the kindle, I don’t think I’d like to give up holding a real paper book. Thanks for the giveaway!!
Thank you Marian for sharing your list of favorite things.. and your generosity of the giveaway.. I’m still trying my luck to win this book! My wish list now is very simple handheld mixer so I could make meringue for macarons. Its easier to use a handheld for whipping up very little eggwhite

I want!!
Awesome giveaway! I love the cupcake charm – so cute!!

Thanks for offering this great giveaway! I too have a really old phone, but it’s the same with reception — with age comes wisdom, haha!
I’d have to say chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting in a bowl of milk. If could be that I’m just craving this right now, but it always makes me happy.
I love the cupcake charm, actually this last christmas I made some yarn cupcakes they look adorable on my pink christmas tree. I am thinking to put them on my kitchen all year around. thanks for the giveaway.

I love your blog. I would love a Kindle, a Kopycake, and an I-Phone.(my phone is ancient too, hehe)And I would love to decorate cookies as well as you. Great job!
Anything Martha does is fabulous and worth having and being inspired from!
I found the Anne Taintor products in a cooking store last week and absolutely love them. In the same store I found the cutest cupcake jewellery boxes.
I think the Kopycake would be a terrific luxury item; I would be happy with just the charm!
Oh my, I love your top ten list! It’s creative, a bit of everything. I was just talking to my husband over dinner earlier how I should be looking/shopping for new clothes online. However, I find myself attached to barnes and borders ordering tons of books. I guess the fashion in me will have to be creative with my wardrobe. I’m just super happy I have books to read. The kindle is such a nifty way of storing books without having to worry about the weight of it in a bag or on hand.
baking and making others smile with my creations is my favorite thing!!
I have so greatly enjoyed learning about cookie decorating from your site. I did my first set this past weekend and they came out great. Thank you for all of the helpful tips and tutorials!
I love martha’s book. Whenever i’m at barnes and noble, and my boyfriend is taking too long oogling refrence books, i sit down and admire martha’s cakes. delicious and beautiful

Just came across you site and I love it! Pick me, pick me….
One of my favorite pocessions, is my kitchenaide mixer. It was the very first thing my husband ever gave me when we were dating. We had only been dating about a month and he knew I was saving up to buy myself one and one day he took me to lunch and surprised me with it in the car.
What a fun and totally fantastic giveaway!! I absolutely LOVE your blog and have picked up so many wonderful tips and tricks from you. Thank you!
If I am the wonderful winning recipient could you please include your cute boots in with the cookbook? Size 7 would be great!

I love your blog and your giveaways – the cupcake charm is SO cute.
@ linda:
One of my favorite things would be to actually win something when I enter a contest! I love everything about your website and visit often for inspiration.
Glad to have found your blog through Cake on the Brain. If you ask my husband, he’d say I have such a LONG wishlist that it might take us across the country! ;P However, for now, the only thing I wish for is a new oven/stove…my oven hasn’t been working right since the past November — it takes at least an hour to get to 350F, and another 20 minutes or so to stay at the right temp! Chinese New Year is getting close, and there’s a lot of baking to do!!! Cross my fingers, I’ll get one SOON.
I just want to win!
Love your blog…it’s so creative and inspiring.
I make cake for a living and on those blah days (we all get them sometimes), I take a peek at your page for a much needed pick me up.
I have long been thinking of getting a kopykake projector myself but its on a long want list which includes a new airbrush and an slr camera…so quite a long way…All i can do now is to dream of making beautiful cookies like yours someday.
OH MY GOSH I want to win this SOOO bad!! Wowsers. I LOVE that list!! I want everything on it. Except that coat. It wouldn’t fit over my thigh. But it sure is purty!
A. You are gorgeous!

D. LOVE Anne Taintor, too! One of my favorites is the one that says “I was never meant to work.”
I want everything thats on ur list! The kopykake projector is something I want. BADLY. and the kindle. and a professional camera. *sigh. I hope I win this giveaway! would be my first
Love your blog (& your wish list!). The cupcake charm is wonderful. thanks for a chance to win!
That cupcake charm is adorable!
mm… kindle. These days, my entire life is reading and baking, i’d better stay away from the kindle or I’d probably end up trying to read *while* baking, and the thing would end up covered in batter.
Tweeted…
I bought a 2010 Ann Taintor engagement calendar, and I don’t even write in it! I just look at the pictures and LMBO. She’s great! Also trying to figure out the Rebel…your close=ups are great!!
I’m new to your blog but so impressed. You are the cookie master!
My daughter teaches great online photography classes if you are interested in taking one. She has a degree in photography and has done photos for national campaigns. You could quit shooting on auto.
Check out Jessicasprague.com for Candice’s class and others if you are interested. I think Candice’s next class may start in March.
I love all of your ideas! You’re so creative!
First of all sorry for my english
I love your blog, I think it’s amazing. I would like to buy a kopycake projector but I don’t know if here in Spain it’s available, I think I’ll have to wait

Both of these things would be so lovely! I would love to win!
That charm is sooo adorable!
I absolutley love the little cupcake charm! Too cute
This is a great site. I just recently found it.
I absolutely love my new beater blade attachment for the KitchenAid mixer. It’s like a regular beater blade but with a spatula attached so you don’t need to keep stopping the mixer & pushing down the buildup on the sides. Sounds silly, but really makes such a difference!
Although I’m sure that if I had the KopyKake, that would be my #1 fave!!
I can honestly say that your sweetopia site is one of my favorite things. I check in every 3 days or so and am always inspired. Your are detail oriented, stylish, innovative, creative…a real infectious love of all things beautiful and tasty. Thanks Marian! I think you are fantastico!!
Hi! I just stumbled upon your website… Your creations are some of the cutest that I’ve ever seen! Looking forward to trying some of your recipes and decorating tips!!
I love your blog and I also would love to have a new camera. I just added that to my wishlist, but another Martha book and a cupcake charm would be wonderful!
Decorating cookies has been life long for me. My mom would bake dozens of sugar cookies for every holiday and make 3 recipes of royal icing (she had 8 children) and we would all gather at the huge kitchen table with our piping bags and tips and go to town. Decorating cookies was never ’slap on some icing and dust with sprinkles’…well maybe for the very small children. It’s a tradition I carry on with my family and I’m so happy I found your site. I can perfect the art of cookie decoration with your help! I would Martha’s wedding cake book
Hi, Love all your sweet creations! Thanks for sharing….Gina f

Those certainly are wonderful things! I found a coat that I too love at Victoria Secret’s this season. It’s a pink, black and gray plaid short peacoat. Its not nearly as cold here where I am in the states but it sure does keep me warm!
Cupcake charm – so cute.
Love you blog. I check it out for inspiration every week.

SOOO glad I’m one of the “few” to write here, hahaha
I saw that you wanted feedback on the kindle, and wanted to comment that my aunt has one and loves it, she will never go back to paper. Something I thought was cool about it, is that you can actually share any book or magazine, etc that you buy with 3 or 4 others, thought that was pretty cool
I came across your cakes on flickr, and would love for you to see the few cakes that I have made, my screen name is valerie.w.l
Good luck on achieving the wish list!!!!
Thanks so much Valerie and THANK YOU everyone for your comments, input, and compliments! I REALLY appreciate them!
Hi
just found your website tonight so I’m browsing through. I must tell you that I LOVE your winter coat! Can you please share where you got it??
