Planet Cake

Posted on April 13th, 2009 in Books

I’m so excited to see that the book Planet Cake is coming soon!  I’m a flickr member (photosharing group for those of you that don’t know), of several ‘cake’ groups that have raved about this book.  They’ve seen it already as it was published where they live (Australia), but hasn’t come out here.  I was reminded of it again today on http://www.cakescanada.com and have found that it’s available to pre-order in North America now!  Yeah!  Can’t wait to recieve it, try new projects and post them.

Just a little side note; I managed to pre-order it on this Canadian site and I know it’s listed on this American site here.

Here are a few pics from the Planet Cake gallery; you can find them and more at http://www.planetcake.com.au/couturecakes/wedding.php

  4. That it is exciting but you didn’t mention where in North America. Do you have a link where the book can be ordered?
    Thank You,

  5. Hi Shirley,
No problem, the link is the pink word ‘Planet Cake’ in the post… You can pre-order the book there! I already did! ^_^

  6. Paris Cutler did my wedding cake years ago when I got married in Sydney. I was a lucky girl!
Not only do her cakes look great but they actually taste really good too. I got a tier of Mud Cake and a tier of Coconut Almond iced in hand-painted fondant.
I’m really looking forward to seeing her book and am not surprised that she’s spread her wings internationally with the launch of her book.
I’m a (former) Sydneysider and I think there’s some great cake work coming out of Sydney, Australia.
By the way, you have a great site and offer the best tips.
You make such simple beautiful work of cookie decorating and have inspired me to give it a go.
Anyway, thank you for so generously sharing your fabulous style with your fans. You’re so sweet!

  7. Lucky girl for sure!
If (when), I get down to Australia for a visit, Planet Cake is at the top of the list for ‘things to see’ {and taste LOL}.
Thanks for visiting – I hope you enjoy cookie decorating!

  8. Just letting you know that PLANET CAKE are releasing their next book around September 2010 .. I think that it is suppose to be featuring a lot more ‘cupcake’ designs.
Only just stubbled across your site Marian …. LOVE IT!!!
Hope you do make it ‘down under’ one day.
