If you haven’t already found Bridget of Bake at 350 on line, you’re going to want to visit her. She’s one of the loveliest, kind-hearted, funniest bloggers I’ve met, and she’s got crazy cookie decorating talent! Besides the tons of amazing recipes and tips she consistently shares on her site, she’s got a new book out, Decorating Cookies: 60+ Designs for Holidays, Celebrations & Everyday.
It’s jam packed with helpful decorating tips and tricks and so many inspiring and adorable ideas.
The layout is so easy to navigate too; I love being able to see all the project thumbnails in the table of contents and the full photo step-by-steps in the tutorials themselves.
I’m also so excited to share that Bridget has included a few of her blogging, cookie decorating friends as guest bakers. I’m so honored to be a part of her beautiful book along with Amanda (i am baker), Callye (SweetSugarBelle), Gail (One Tough Cookie) and Meaghan (The Decorated Cookie).
And not only do I have an interview with her here for you today, Bridget and her publisher have sponsored a giveaway for two copies of her book! If you’d like a copy right away, you can find it on line on Amazon or Barnes and Noble!

Interview with Bridget Edwards of Bake at 350
Marian: Bridget, I love your new book, Decorating Cookies – 60+ Designs for Holidays, Celebrations & Everyday. It’s a pleasure to read, not only for the cookie eye-candy, but also for the invaluable decorating tips! How would you describe your book to someone who hasn’t seen it?
Bridget: What I love about Decorating Cookies is that all of the 60+ cookie projects are presented with step-by-step photo tutorials. In addition, everything from techniques to recipes to troubleshooting is covered in the beginning of the book. There is also a section where five of my super-talented, super-star cookie decorating friends (thank you, Marian!) share one of their decorating specialties! I hope that readers will not only recreate the projects in the book, but will be inspired by the techniques and ideas to create their own cookie masterpieces.
Marian: How did you begin cookie decorating?
Bridget: The company I worked for always ordered decorated cookies on-a-stick for meetings and I just fell in love with them. When I left work when my son was born, I was determined to learn to make them. The only problem was, I didn’t have the slightest idea how to do that. I learned through trial and error…mainly error.
Marian: Any words of advice for those who are new to cookie decorating?
Bridget: A. It’s easier than it looks. B. You can eat the mistakes. C. Before you eat that “mistake,” though, remember that you are probably the only person who sees it. Your friends and family will just see a cute cookie!
Marian: Do you have a favorite decorating technique, such as marbling?
Bridget: My favorite technique is the FLAT DOT!!! If I could put dots on every single cookie, I would.
Marian: Are there any decorating tools or products you especially love to use?
Bridget: My favorite decorating tool is definitely the toothpick. 😉
Marian: Thanks Bridget for the interview and for providing copies of your book for the giveaway!

am interested in clarifying a recipe ingredient in your chocolate cake with yogurt that appeared in pinterest with Ree. On pinterest it calls for 2 cups of yogurt. Is this correct? How do I join your blog?
marian says
Hi Hilda,
This is Marian, who interviewed Bridget of Bake at 350. That’s her recipe you’re asking about. I’m sorry, I don’t know the answer.
