"Seaside" Bedroom

I had wanted to renovate our master bedroom for 4 years before we finally got around to it. (Poor Dave, actually, he didn’t know what hit him. He came home one day and I was ripping the heart wallpaper of the walls =) No, he was glad to as well. (Will he read this? Hmmm… what would he say to that?)
I don’t know how many ideas I played with until I came to the final choices you see here. Baby blue was once an option, but I finally settled on the Pottery Barn sheets you see here, and built the room around it. After the room was almost finished I found a picture of an almost exact replica of the room, by Pottery Barn. I didn’t copy it; swear!!
Anyways, the hardwood floors were Dave’s find. You can’t tell in the picture but they have that rippled effect of hand grooved wood, and a rustic, worn look to them. Because of the large, smoothed groves it’s actually soft on your feet! (That was the only thing I was going to miss; carpet on the floor to cushion my feet when I got up in the morning).
In this pic, the room isn’t quite finished yet… We were still waiting for the other bedside table and hadn’t hung the pics yet, but honestly, I’m too lazy to take another one. =) Maybe someday…
